The European Conference on Fracture is a large scale event, dedicated to fracture mechanisms, fracture mechanics and fatigue. It congregates famous names in the field and, in spite of the multiple parallel sections, presents also plenary lectures, which are attended by the whole comunity. I enjoy very much the ECF and recommend to everyone who investigates these themes. Next installment will take place in Catania, Italy in 2016 and then in 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia.
